Presentation outlines some of the key outcomes from the 62nd Commission on the Status of Women (CSW62) held in New York in March 2018. As chair of CSW62, Ireland was able to highlight climate issues, particularly the contribution rural women play in climate mitigation and adaptation. Outstanding challenges include lack of policies to support women’s access to property, un-paid care and violence against women and girls. Other gaps include issues of migration, peace and security. CSW63 will focus on social protection systems, and will provide an entry point for building on this resilience/ climate adaptation theme.
