with support from IIED, capacity building is on going to strenghten integration of climate change into development programmes in Irish Aid Ethiopia, as part of the climate change & development learning platfrom outputs and in preparation for the mission strategy review in the near future
WMO, national Met. Agency and Irish Aid visit beneficiary small scale farmers who are using weather information and advisories to plan for cropping times. The project has increased productivity and enhances use of better farming methods.

In June 2016, the Echnoserve team (based in Addis Ababa) completed the 4th of 6 surveys (2015-2018) documenting the contributions of SOS Sahal climate smart agriculture interventions to the production, income, nutrition, and resilience of households around Lake Hawassa.
